My clients is a dynamic and growing organisation dedicated to excellence. Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monthly Financial Statements:- Assist in the preparation and production of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts.- Prepare budgets and conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies.

2. Financial Performance Analysis:- Analyse financial performance to support business planning and forecasting efforts.- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.

3. Month-End Process and Audit:- Prepare and provide financial information for the month-end process.- Compile and manage the Balance Sheet reconciliation pack to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

4. Fixed Assets Management:- Oversee the fixed assets register, ensuring all items are properly recorded, live, and accurately depreciated.- Conduct regular reviews and updates of the fixed assets register.

5. Stock Management:- Manage the stock listing, ensuring it is updated and reconciled on a monthly basis.- Address any discrepancies and ensure accurate stock reporting.

6. Transaction Validation:- Validate and ensure that transactions performed in various systems within the business are correctly translated into the financial ledgers.- Work closely with relevant departments to ensure accurate financial recording.

7. Support Services:- Provide a support service by working collaboratively with all departments and the management team.- Assist in financial decision-making by providing relevant financial insights and data.

8. Additional Duties:- Perform any other tasks and duties as requested by the Financial Controller.

Qualifications:

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or Finalist is highly desirable.- Proven experience in management accounting or a similar role.- Strong understanding of financial principles and budgeting- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
