What does a Rent Collection and Arrears Recovery Apprentice do at Hillingdon?

To provide professional and courteous customer service to LBH residents and partner organisations; actively supporting the Council's aim to resolve customer queries accurately and efficiently at first point of contact.

The team compromises of 11 Rent Collection & Arrears Recovery Officers with 4 Senior Litigation Officers. Team & Income Manager, your role should you be successful, will be to support the team in dealing with front line enquirers, signposting residents to the correct service and play an active role in taking on daily administrative tasks, including inputting data in a timely manner.

In return we will support you to achieve your goals to become a professional rent collection & arrears recovery officer to enable and enhance your skills to be become a champion.

Key Responsibilities include:

Must be willing to work on a rota basis from 8am - 6pm Working as a first point of contact Actively support "Rent First" ethos by supporting residents to transition into convenient method of payment.

About you

In return we are seeking someone who has 5 GCSEs (Grade A*-C) or equivalent

(If the above requirement cannot be met, you must demonstrate in your application the ability/willingness to complete Functional Skills English and/or Maths at the required level before the end point assessment)

Key skills/ experience to evidence within your application:

Willingness to study towards relevant professional qualification Experience of working in a busy pressurized environment Demonstrate skills of customer service
