Hours: 35 per week

We are looking for an inspirational and passionate teacher of Physical Education to join the highly experienced team within our Health and Wellbeing Faculty.

Broughton High School is a popular, comprehensive school with high aspirations for its very diverse population. As a valued member of our staff, you will have enthusiasm and the ability to plan flexible programmes of learning within your subject area which meet the specific needs of all learners. You should be confident, have a passion for Physical Education and be able to demonstrate that you are an innovative practitioner.

Collaborates well with others and is an excellent team player. Can work independently. Is an enthusiastic classroom practitioner with a passion for innovative learning. Can work imaginatively and creatively to problem solve. Is friendly, approachable, and caring with a good sense of humour. Understands the curriculum in the context of the school as a whole. Can plan programmes of learning appropriate to the specific needs of learners. Has experience of teaching BGE classes. Appreciates the importance of collegiate and collaborative working.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act . The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
