We are looking for an Agile Delivery Manager to help scrum teams develop and deliver quality digital services for our millions of users. You�ll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in government and help shape our services to meet the ever-changing demands of the UK�s business landscape.�

This is a rewarding role within the Agile Delivery Profession and provides an opportunity to contribute to the success of existing and future services provided by Companies House.

Job description

An Agile Delivery Manager is accountable for the performance of the team.�

At this role level, you will:�

Build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well.�Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them.�Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services.�Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team.�Coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques.�

Person specification

You'll be a true leader who steers from the front. Using the scrum framework, you'll remove blockers and create the right environment for your multidisciplinary teams to succeed, helping them to become self-managing and creating a culture of learning and transparency.�

We�re looking for someone who can do the hands-on delivery of products and end to end services. You will see them through from initiation to live.�

Essential��

Strong track record of building high performing agile software delivery teams using a recognised agile delivery framework.�Experience of leading a team to deliver working software in an agile environment.�You�re a strong advocate for delivering minimum viable products frequently and regularly and then iterating the service to improve from feedback.�Promoting a healthy team culture, managing team dynamics and fostering a continuous improvement environment.�A strong understanding and experience of agile principles and practices including using metrics and forecasting techniques.�Translating technical teams and facilitating relationships with business stakeholders.�The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner at all levels.�Having a proactive approach to learning and development of yourself and others.�You value coaching people to learn and grow over telling them what to do and have proven experience of doing this.�����

Desirable�

Ideally you will also have a recognised professional accreditation/qualification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM)/ Profession Scum Master (PSM I). �

Alongside your salary of �38,000, Companies House contributes �10,640 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.

Please note that the minimum salary does not reflect the 2023/24 pay deal and we are therefore expecting this to increase in the near future.

Where will you be working?�

You will be aligned to our Cardiff Office, where we are currently using a hybrid approach to the way we work. Our approach to hybrid working provides opportunities for you to be adaptable in the way you work so that you can achieve a healthy balance between your work and home life. The degree of choice you have will depend on business need, your role and your day-to-day work activities and will be discussed at offer stage. This is a hybrid role where you will typically come into the office one day per week, depending on business needs.��
