Pinhoe Primary School is a large primary school in Exeter, with their own maintained Nursery on site.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with energy and enthusiasm who is willing and capable of being part busy and diverse school. An ability to inspire children to achieve and give their best in the classroom is paramount. 

The ideal person for this post will have literacy and maths skills to GCSE level and have a creative and flexible outlook that will support our hard working and dedicated team. They will be looking to work with children from a diverse community with a wide range of needs including SEND.

As well as working with the children in the classroom, the role includes playground duties and helping to supervise the children at lunchtimes.

You will:

Be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing with children, staff and parents; Be well organised and hard-working with a good sense of humour; Be able to work calmly and accurately under pressure and show resilience where necessary; Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues within the school; Be prepared and able to initiate and manage change, where necessary; Be aware of, and devoted to, the educational needs of individual pupils and the larger school community; Display commitment to high standards of professional behaviour, acting at all times as an ambassador for the school; To promote the welfare and safeguarding of children.
