Job Description

The Payments Administrator will provide system and payments administration for the following systems and processes:

Financial Management System (FMS), specifically the Accounts Payable and Procurement modules

Working with colleagues to maintain a generic, flexible approach to tasks assigned to the FMS & Banking team based within Payments Section

Requirements

To administer FMS (AP & PMS) and related systems

To train departmental and section users of Payments systems

To assist with the development of Payments systems

Handle various enquiries both written and verbal

To work closely with other members of the FMS & Banking team to ensure all responsibilities are carried out according to set timescales

The Individual

Experience of working in a busy office environment using relevant technology

Experience in general Finance Administration

Finance/Administration HND/HNC qualifications

Procedural skills

Effective organisational skills, including time management

Ability to produce own work from PC – Excel, Word, Powerpoint

Ability to work with accuracy whilst processing data through systems.

Strong customer care skills and focus

Self confidence

Self motivated

To work on their own initiative when required to specified deadlines

A flexible approach to new working practices and technology

Ability to maintain accuracy when working to tight deadlines

Able to maintain confidentiality

Ability to work as part of a team in order to ensure that the operational demands of processing tasks are met

Ability to use own initiative

Effective communication skills - both written and verbal

Ability to relate well with all levels of staff

Willingness to accept direction/ delegation

Flexibility to meet needs and demands of the service

Ability to work in different offices dependent on service requirements

Starting Salary: £24,.60

36.25 Hours per week

£12.96 per hour
