We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our team, managing and delivering stakeholder engagement and consultation for infrastructure projects. The focus of this role is on pre-application consultation, engagement and communications for infrastructure and other development schemes It will include:
  • Management, leadership and delivery of a range of stakeholder engagement, consultation and communication projects, with a focus on pre-application consultation and engagement for infrastructure development projects
  • Working collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Leading growth of the stakeholder engagement service, consultation and communications across AECOM, with a focus on providing advice and support to teams across the UK
  • Building relationships across AECOM’s wider business to identify and develop opportunities
  • Leading the identification of new business opportunities and associated proposal development
  • Managing junior members of the team and supporting their growth and development
  • We’re particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience of stakeholder engagement, consultation, or communications. Knowledge of relevant planning and environmental policy developments related to stakeholder engagement, consultation and communications would be an advantage, as would experience in the infrastructure, development, and energy sectors.
Minimum Requirements
  • Extensive experience delivering engagement, consultation and communications in a relevant sector to our business – for example: transport, energy, water, residential development, commercial development
  • Experience of managing and developing successful teams and a passion for helping people maximise their potential
  • Confidence engaging variety of stakeholder groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of Microsoft Teams tools is desirable
  • Willingness to work flexibly and travel when required is desirable
