Role title: Housing Surveyor

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Grade 11 £ 36,648- £ 38,223

Hours: 37.00 per week

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Architectural Services Team at Bury Council. The Team provides advice, guidance and services relating to social housing projects across the Authority.

With an up-to-date knowledge of current building legislation and best practice, you will undertake tasks and manage social housing projects on site. In addition, you will be provided with all the support you will need to develop both personally and professionally.

As a Housing Surveyor in our Architectural Services Team, you will:

·Ensure that the project is built to a high standard in accordance with the requirements of the Programme Manager (Procurement & Contracts)

·Provide day to day liaison with the builder and ensure that projects are run as efficiently as possible.

·Take appropriate action and report same to relevant Project Quantity Surveyor in respect of all Health and Safety at Work matters on site.

What makes you our ideal Housing Surveyor:

Considerable housing knowledge and experience in the public sector. Relevant experience as a Housing surveyor/Clerk of works or similar with responsibility for inspecting all stages of construction work. Substantial knowledge and experience of design and construction standards, procedures, techniques, legislative compliance, conditions survey as well as Health and Safety in construction, particularly CDM Regulations (2015).

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week flexible working scheme based around the usual business working week.
