When you join us as a Family Support Practitioner in The Trailblazer Project , you'll be at the forefront of this innovative initiative, empowered to drive positive change and shape better outcomes for families.

Your role and responsibilities
You'll play a crucial role in supporting families and reducing court delays.
You will:
work directly with children and families within the public law outline process, particularly those in pre-proceedings engage families in the pre-proceedings process, participating in initial meetings and providing follow-up support assist families in planning towards successful outcomes, helping them avoid court escalation and remain together when possible contribute to assessments that determine whether court action is necessary or if children can be supported through Child Protection or Child in Need processes collaborate with Social Workers and other professionals to provide comprehensive, joined-up support use the Suffolk Signs of Safety and Wellbeing framework to bring about sustainable improvement maintain accurate records and contribute to reports as needed.You'll be a catalyst for positive change, working with families whose circumstances have become concerning enough to consider court application. Your intervention could make the difference between a family staying together or facing separation.
You will need
a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work knowledge of Signs of Safety and practical understanding of solution-focused approaches the ability to clarify risks and concerns while focusing on solutions strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals experience of working directly with children, young people, and their families a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.You can view a full list of requirements in the . The team
You'll be part of a pioneering team working on The Trailblazers project, approved by the Department for Education to explore how local authorities can reduce court delays. You'll work alongside a Regional Service Manager overseeing the project, with local supervision from a Practice Manager in Suffolk. Our team is passionate about making a difference in children's lives and finding innovative ways to support families through challenging times.
