Key Accountabilities:
  • The Project Analyst will be a key member of UK COE working along side the UK Project Accounting team (Project Billers for UK confidential clients). The analyst would support a specific UK Division(s).
  • Be responsible for specific project set up tasks in Oracle, this could include setting up key members, checking contracts and agreement set up and any other Oracle project set up task not auto populated from EcoSys.
  • Review the work breakdown structure for compatibility with automatic billing.
  • Identify projects suitable for rates or time and materials automatic billing.
  • Populate the billing details required to enable automatic billing using billing information provided by the PM or the contract billing schedule.
  • Set up 'bill to addresses' at project level.
  • Involvement with AtkinsRéalis financial improvement initiatives.

NB.This role will initially report into the Global Process Team for Order to Cash and be supported by the Global Project Accounting Team. Following the implementation of OneERP in the UK this role will then move into the UK Centre of Excellence.

Professional & Technical skills:
  • Experience working in the accounting or project controls function of a sizeable international company.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills; and comfortable in dealing with senior colleagues.
  • Experience in working for a consultancy business, especially an engineering consultancy, would be a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of the following would be an advantage: JD Edwards and Oracle EBS.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise own workload.
  • Strong sense of ownership, drive, and ability to deliver results.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good team player with positive attitude.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyse information and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recognised accounting qualification - AAT/ studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
