Job Title: Vocal Teacher

Team: Bolton Music Service (Greater Manchester Music Hub)

Hours: 16.5 hours (0.6FTE)

Grade: Teacher’s Pay and Conditions (Qualified and unqualified scale) plus additional allowances in accordance with Teachers and Pay Conditions £20,598 to £46,525 per annum

Contract: Fixed term from 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025

Qualification: Conservatoire training/degree or equivalent and/or teaching qualification

Bolton Music Service (Greater Manchester Music Hub) is seeking to appoint an experienced vocal teacher. This is an exciting role for a vocal specialist to make a difference to the musical lives of children and young people across Bolton, Blackburn with Darwen and Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will be able to teach singing in primary and secondary schools, lead a range of choirs, direct performances, and support our exciting vocal projects. They will work with a team of vocal specialists in both Bolton Music Service and the GM Music Hub.

About You

You will be absolutely committed to the value of singing in our schools and in our community, and you will be an inspirational advocate for this work, with excellent communication skills. You will have experience of teaching voice in a range of settings, and of leading and supporting choirs. You will be very skilled at engaging young people through your own singing voice and also through your musical personality. You will make very positive relationships with colleagues in the music service and in schools and will embrace the opportunity to work alongside other experienced teachers.
