Functional Assessment Service

London, United Kingdom Ingeus Full time

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for qualified clinicians to join our team here at Ingeus UK, part of the global human services provider APM Group.

About Ingeus UK and the Health Assessment and Advisory Service (HAAS)

We have been awarded a new contract to provide functional health and disability assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in Southeast England, London, and East Anglia. This new service is set to launch in 2024 and will run for five years.

This contract replaces the current multi-provider setup with a single health and disability assessment provider in each area of the country, bringing together Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Health and Disability Assessment Services (HDAS) contracts into one comprehensive service to deliver functional health and disability assessments for all benefits that require one.

What we can offer you

As an experienced healthcare practitioner with invaluable transferable skills such as critical analysis and logical thinking, we want to give you the opportunity to use your skills in a different way with a company on a mission to enable better lives.

As a Functional Assessor, you will be part of a like-minded team of professional clinicians that has a voice in how we improve claimants’ experience.

The role of a Functional Assessor
The key responsibilities of our specialist Functional Assessors will be:

Conduct comprehensive functional health and disability assessments with a focus on the individual's needs and well-being. Collaborate with your colleagues to deliver a high-quality service to claimants. Contribute to the continued improvement and service excellence of health assessment services in the UK.

You must have at least 12 months of post-graduate experience as a registered doctor, nurse, paramedic, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist; and we’ll provide the required training and development to give you the best transition into your new role, as well as supported virtual and self-directed CPD. In addition, you’ll get access to a wide range of development opportunities, including gaining experience in other areas such as Responsible Officer, Training Lead, Quality Lead and Clinical Practice Lead roles. Of course, this also includes opportunities across other clinical and healthcare business areas within the wider APM Group.

Our recruitment timeline

We will start recruitment for Functional Assessors in spring of 2024. We are planning for new team members to start in summer of 2024 to allow completion of our comprehensive onboarding and training programme to help new team members excel in their roles before the new service starts on the 7th September 2024.

Please follow the link below to complete your expression of interest form. We’ll send you recruitment updates, and you’ll receive opportunities to speak with members of our senior team to find out more about HAAS and Ingeus UK.

We look forward to receiving your expression of interest. Your experience is essential to our mission, and we would be excited to have you as part of our team.
