We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated experienced Social Workers with a minimum of 2 years' post qualifying experience to join the Nottinghamshire MASH.

The MASH is the first point of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns in relation to children to enable decisions to be made at an early stage to get children the right support at the right time to meet their needs.

The MASH involves over 80 staff from partner agencies working together - Children’s Social Care, Police, Health, Probation, Education, Early Help and Adult Safeguarding. 

The Social Workers in the MASH receive and process referrals, share information as appropriate, to determine 'needs' and ensure that a proportionate response is provided to families, in a timely manner.

You will need to have the ability to:

Assess safeguarding concerns about vulnerable children at risk  Collate information from partner agencies to make informed decisions Decide which operational team(s) will intervene and provide an "information package" for them Offer advice via the consultation line to support referrers
