Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver community related activity in Dunfermline as the Team Manager. The post is fixed term for 24 months and so would suit an existing manager looking for experience in another area, or an ambitious individual looking for greater experience, responsibilities and growth to take their next professional step.

The team has a wide-ranging remit for community planning, community development and capacity building across the city. This includes, but is not limited to, helping to shape community-based adult learning, adult education and youth work. You will also be required to support colleagues with addressing poverty and inequalities, as well as supporting community wealth building.

The role provides plenty of scope for an individual to use traditional community learning and development approaches and tools, to shape what opportunities and services local people require, desire and subsequently access. As well as the public, you will also work with a wide range of internal and external colleagues, partners and local politicians.

The Person

Educated to SCQF level 9, which includes a Degree or equivalent
