About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The Radiography Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the high performance of the radiography preparations, planning and interface arrangements in the radiography support function. Out on the HPC Site, they will be able to identify risk and find solution with contractors to control without compromising safety.
They will work with the NNB Health and Safety team and have wider links to the subject matter experts and inspectors required for ensuring technical compliance of the radiography, the contractors requiring radiography, the companies providing radiography, radiation protection supervisors etc. They will champion learning and the HPC way, working ad-hoc shifts to monitor that work is being carried out and to the standards and safe system of work expectations required.
Here's what you'll need:
- PCN or equivalent ISO 9712/ASME level 2 radiographer, current preferred but lapsed qualifications accepted.
- Previously trained and appointed as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) minimum.
- Experience working on large construction/refit projects with significant levels of radiography.
- Good knowledge of other non-destructive testing techniques/standards, additional qualifications such as ultrasonics and/or surface inspection are an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience from working in the nuclear sector.
- Good knowledge of the IRR2017.
- Experience of working closely, supporting a team to achieve excellent delivery.
