Fire and Security Systems Technician Apprentice

Apprenticeship Overview: You will embark on a comprehensive training program to learn the design installation commissioning and maintenance of electronic systems. These systems include fire detection security alarms emergency lighting access control and CCTV for prestigious commercial customers in the UK. Throughout the apprenticeship you will develop a wide range of technical skills and behaviours necessary to excel in this industry and once complete will be a Level 3 qualified Fire Emergency and Security Systems Technician.

Key Learnings will include how to:

  • Design plan and install fire emergency and security systems in commercial properties.
  • Conduct testing commissioning and handover of installed systems ensuring they meet professional industry standards.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance diagnose faults and repair system components as needed.
  • Provide professional customer service maintaining a presentable and respectful demeanour while working in diverse environments.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to ensure systems are installed and maintained efficiently and safely.

Requirements:

  • GCSE pass in Maths and English.
  • Clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong interest in the fire emergency and security industry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Training and Development: Throughout the apprenticeship you will receive blended training including block classroom based sessions and practical shadowing with our current engineers. You will have the opportunity to earn an ECS card and progress towards achieving EngTech registration by the Engineering Council.

Regular progress reviews will be conducted every 12 weeks involving yourself a Trinity representative and training provider to ensure that the delivery of training meets the needs of both parties.
