Job Summary:
The estate surveyor will report into the Manager and be required to use their landlord and tenant knowledge and technical expertise to ensure the Council estate is managed according to landlord and tenant laws to undertake property contact negotiations to get agreed terms instruct legal and ensure the completion of the tenancy agreement and thereafter maintain ongoing effective relationships to achieve the corporate outcome.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
To delivery of a case load as agreed with the Manager and with support from the Senior/Principal surveyor negotiate rent reviews and calculations negotiate lease and licence terms manage lease assignments licence for alternations easements wayleaves and other general estate management contractual negotiations as directed through to completion.
Essential Experience Required:
Property inspection including basic building pathology Landlord and Tenant experience including lease renewals rent reviews assignments VOA awareness lettings licences to alter assignment and changes of use purchase and sale of land and property.
Essential Qualifications Required:
Good standard of education and evidence of continuing professional development in property surveying or a similar discipline.
Additional information to note:
37.5 hours per week
12 days in the office per week

Evidence of IT literacy including a sound knowledge of tasks, systems, databases etc. Proven ability to manage a range of conflicting work demands and pressures.
