Our Location The College is situated in the Garnethill area of Glasgow city centre, next to Glasgow School of Art and close to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Garnethill is home to three interrelated Jesuit works: the College, the parish of St Aloysius' and the Ignatian Spirituality Centre.

The Role

St Aloysius’ College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Learning Child Care Manager to oversee the operations of our nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality learning environment for children aged 3-5 years, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating setting that promotes their physical, emotional and cognitive development.

About the Person

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care for young children. They should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and organisational abilities are essential, along with a nurturing and compassionate approach to working with children and families.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/ HNC/ SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent.

Meet the standards for SSSC registration for a Practitioner.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an early learning or childcare setting, managing staff and resources.

Desirable Qualifications: Hold or be working towards BA Childhood Practice, PDA, Certificate/ Diploma in Early Childhood Studies or other relevant advanced qualification.
