Job summary

The post holder will be an integral part of the Sustainability team and will support the Defence�s Approach to Sustainable Infrastructure (DASI). The objective of this team is to develop a strategic Sustainability Defence Approach across the Defence estate. This will align with TLB and UK ambitions, targets and policy and map out the activity required for current, near and future planning. It will provide the thought leadership and horizon scanning needed to identify emerging technologies, pilots and research opportunities and the prioritisation of activities. You will be responsible for translating the Defence targets and ambitions for infrastructure into clear deliverables and work to understand how to best prioritise that activity, ensuring we are scoping the future possibilities to allow us to make provisions in our expert advisor role. The role will require the candidate to ensure the smooth running of the portfolio of work, delivering outputs against the Defence Approach, producing project artefacts and liaising with Stakeholders central to the project. �The successful candidate will have experience managing projects, working with a variety of stakeholders, and have an excellent approach to communication and presenting information in a comprehensible way. �

Alongside your salary of �43,080, Ministry of Defence contributes �11,631 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
