About the role:
Our country houses provide a retreat for guests embarking on guided or self-guided tour holidays. As a Relief Manager your role will cover annual leave, sickness and vacancies across our houses and is a unique opportunity for a House Manager to experience all 16 of our Country Houses in the UK. Your responsibilities span various domains:
- Customer Service Excellence: Oversee every aspect of customer service, leaving no room for compromise
- Culinary Management: Take charge of the culinary experience, managing chefs to consistently deliver exceptional food quality within the established budgetary framework
- Front of House Leadership: Lead the front of house team, ensuring pristine conditions in all bedrooms and public areas
- Property Maintenance and Aesthetics: Collaborate with the Maintenance Person & properties team to monitor, report, and address internal and external repairs and property defects
- Centralised Support: Leverage the support of our Central functions for recruitment, occupancy, Health & Safety, purchasing, stock management and reporting
As a covering General Manager your potential to contribute to our team goes beyond professional competence; it lies in your ability to infuse warmth, leadership, and excellence into every part of our Country House operations.
What are we looking for?
We would love to hear from you if you have these essential skills:
- A commercial background in the Tourism or Hospitality industry. We are keen to hear from Hotel Managers, Country House Managers, Hotel General Managers or Hospitality Managers, who can showcase a track record of successful management within a hotel, country house, or similar establishment.
- The role necessitates adaptability to varied working hours, particularly during evenings and weekends
