Reporting directly to the VP of IDEA, ER, and EPC, the IDEA Senior Manager - EMEA will have responsibility for creating, managing, and driving IDEA strategy throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, through a range of diversity and inclusion activities and programs, including with third-party relationships for franchise business in the growing Middle East . You will be a key point of contact with teams and leaders across the business, partnering to educate, advise, guide and champion behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, equity & action (IDEA). This includes the employment lifecycle for employees (and franchise employees), as well as inclusive design for product and brand in EMEA, and community advocacy in all places in EMEA where we conduct business. You will be responsible to localize our global IDEA goals and form country-specific IDEA initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage employees, contractors, and Helping Hands in the completion of IDEA duties;
  • Develop, manage, and implement IDEA programs (including but not limited to core programming, role training and on-going development, such as with the EMEA IDEA Advisory Council, and localize LOV, Listening Sessions, and LEAN, as well as Inclusive Design Certification Program, Women Of, and Equitable Hiring and the SSC Hiring Playbook);
  • Collaborate with EMEA ELT, global and regional partners to inform the local IDEA strategy, including creation of OKRs;
  • Update all program assets & learning materials ensuring relevancy and accuracy as required;
  • Contribute to elevating diversity and inclusion programs by curating and authoring new material;
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise and the ability to speak on behalf of department(s) at internal and external events on the subject of IDEA;
  • Engage with and enroll partners across the business, including senior leadership team members, to ensure understanding and enrollment within the IDEA strategy and program intent, philosophy, outcomes, enrollment & registration process, timelines, individual accountability, and measures of success;
  • Gather industry research to identify gaps and opportunities and make recommendations to inform the development of our programs;
  • Serve as an internal subject-matter-expert on diversity, inclusion & equity trends and data;
  • Work closely with the communications team to develop a communication framework, taking the lead on drafting and preparing materials;
  • Manage ambassador relationships to apply representation, inclusion, and equity throughout the EMEA ambassador program;
  • Work with P+C partners on IDEA ER matters and partner;
  • Manage the IDEA budget for EMEA;
  • Conduct region-relevant IDEA learning throughout EMEA;
  • Works Council management from IDEA perspective;
  • New Market Entry Taskforce;
  • Brand Awareness work; and
  • Foster a culture of inclusion that is geographically relevant.


Qualifications:
  • 6+ years relevant experience in diversity, inclusion & equity work or roles.
  • Advanced education in psychology, sociology, organizational behavior/ development, cognitive behaviors and/or diversity studies.
  • Comfort with professional and academic studies with a focus on research application.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict resolution skills.


Role Classification:

• This role is classified as Hybrid under our global SSC Hybrid Workplace Policy: In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed from the office at least 3 days per week.
