Procurement Administrator

Hybrid - 3 days per week in the Hook office
Full Time, Permanent

Salary - £28,000 per annum

Here at Serco, we're seeking a Procurement Administrator to support the business with the onboarding of all new asylum accommodation in accordance with Serco standards and policies. The role will monitor and be responsible for identifying potential or actual issues with relation to Landlords, ensuring quality and to protect the business from risk.

As part of this you will:

Helpdesk

  • Receive and manage Landlord queries via telephone, email and other prescribed channels, logging tickets to enable accurate recording and tracking of requests.
  • Document and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that all helpdesk performance targets are met.

Supplier On-boarding

  • Support the business with the onboarding of all new Landlord's to Serco standards and policies.
  • Review and issue onboarding forms to understand potential risk.
  • Support the Landlord on completion of forms in a timely manner.
  • Conduct external financial and ethical due diligence checks.
  • Obtain relevant Procurement and business approvals.
  • Work with Risk SME's, CO's and the wider Procurement team reduce supplier onboarding cycle times.

Landlord Master Data

  • Support the business with updates to Landlord's master data.
  • Review of request to understand change and request relevant documentation to support the change.
  • Conduct fraud validation.
  • Submit changes to Technical Accounting to action.

Data Management

  • Run relevant reports to ensure P2P data is clean, consistent, up to date and of the required quality (data cleansing housekeeping).
  • Support the Buying Support Team Manager in monitoring service delivery against SLA and quality standards.
  • Work with colleagues in other functions (e.g. Accounts Payable) to resolve data maintenance process and quality issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.

What you will need to do the role:

  • 5 A-C GCSES (or equivalent) including Math's and English or relevant working experience.
  • Demonstrates previous experience of working in a Procurement Operations, Finance or Customer Service environment with high transaction volumes.
  • Ability to work methodically and following strict processes and guidelines.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders and independently as required.
  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify improvements to current ways of working and embed change.
  • Proficient desktop computing experience including Microsoft Office applications; including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Job holders are expected to be prepared to work flexibly to support delivery of all in scope services within the Buying Support Team as required.
  • Job holders will be trained to perform all Buying Support tasks but may be assigned to focus on specific tasks based on aptitude/requirement.
