Monarch has collaborated with a thriving secondary school in Halesowen in search of a full-time Maths teacher. A forward-thinking school committed to academic excellence and holistic development of students and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality math lessons across KS3 and KS4. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher looking to begin their career as a Maths Teacher.

Main responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivates to learn maths
  • Prepare students for GCSE exams
  • Deliver and plan Maths lessons to students aged 11 to 16 years old
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback that promotes continuous improvement
  • Work alongside colleagues to share best practices and develop effective teaching strategies
  • Maintain high expectations for students' behavior and achievement in line with school policies
  • Participate in extra curriculum activities and enrichment opportunities within the maths department

Qualifications and experience:

  • Teaching Qualification (QTS): Bachelor of Education/PGCE or an equivalent teaching degree.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best
  • Previous experience working with children and young adults
  • Adaptability and flexibility, approaching work with an optimistic educational perspective
