We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced manager to work hands on and oversee the daily operations of our bespoke living service. Our young man lives alone in his own house, which has a family and nurturing feel. He is on the autistic spectrum and has other complex needs as well as some occasional challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional care and support, with strong leadership skills and a positive nature. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar environment and preferably have a care management qualification.

Job Role

This is predominantly a hands on role, where you will work alongside the team to provide care, both at home and in the community.

You will have exceptional organisational skills and being able to resolve issues as they arise. You will ensure that the service is run in an efficient and responsible manner, and should be positive and encouraging to all members of staff.

You should have excellent communication skills and being experienced in supervising and managing a small team. The main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Providing excellent care for our young man.
  • Providing personal care
  • Participation in the on-call rota.
  • Cover staff absences.
  • Staff recruitment and supervision.
  • Organising weekly activities.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship will staff.
  • Meal planning and shopping.
  • Attend meetings with healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment.
  • Ordering medication.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation such as care plans, weekly audits etc

You must also be a driver.

Up to GBP1820 PA on-call allowance.
