The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Process Engineer - Mechanical to join a world leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard.

Job Overview:

Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes.

As Process Engineer - Mechanical you'll work to assist and support the Design Manager in the delivery of project scope.

Some of your duties will include:

  • To manage the delivery of nuclear process, work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
  • Responsible for managing the technical aspects of nuclear process engineering packages
  • Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
  • Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied.
  • Ensure that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.

What do you need to succeed?

  • The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Preferably Chartered Engineer status.
  • Knowledge of process design of large scale industrial plant.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques employed for Nuclear Safety related process systems.
