Job Description:

We're looking for an Associate Director to join our Performance Marketing Team in London to help lead and support our live game strategy team, a vital function steering creative strategies, product performance marketing and growth innovation.

This person will drive forward our Performance Marketing efforts through several strategic growth areas including, but not limited to...

Performance Marketing Growth Strategy, Product Performance Marketing, Creative Innovation, Cross team collaboration & Deep Dive Analytical Projects.

Your role within our Kingdom

  • Stakeholder Management & Impactful Partnerships:
    • Be the critical connection, linking Performance Marketing Strategies, Tests and Take aways across King's 3 biggest titles, Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga and Farm Heroes Saga, to create room to collaborate and enhance efficiency and impact.
    • Maintain relationships across core teams of Media Buying, Creative, Analytics, Product and Brand to generate open visible projects and communications across our key titles.
    • Lead Performance Marketing and Product focused initiatives with the aim of growing player lifetime value and revenue via Paid campaigns.
    • Spearhead tailored, respectful and effective solutions to drive forward important growth strategies with core partners across the business.
  • Manage a team of experienced Performance Marketers
    • Guide and enable a team culture of trust and respect, where open feedback, accountability, and courage to experiment quickly and challenge the status quo are the norm
    • Deliver feedback openly, embodying our company's values, and adjust leadership style and way of working to bring out the best in the team.
    • Work independently and autonomously, using your experienced knowledge of Performance Marketing to meet objectives and team needs.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Advanced analytical skills to both track and assess the team's projects and impact.
    • Committed data driven decision making to drive efficiencies in productivity and ensure objectives are prioritised effectively.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    • Demonstrate high proficiency in aligning and directing performance marketing strategies with business goals.
    • Adept at crafting clear, compelling narratives that effectively showcase the team's projects and achievements to a wide range of audiences.
    • Proficient in clearly articulating long-term aims, establishing practical benchmarks, and specifying required outcomes.
  • Creative :
    • Develop and advise clear creative strategies within Performance Marketing via actionable recommendations supported by data and analysis to drive campaign impacts.
    • Build reasoning and analytical insights for all Performance Marketing initiatives: this requires identifying key issues, analysis and clear narrative
  • Growth Marketing
    • You have a consistent track record of building strong and robust testing frameworks to produce clear and strong answers to questions around marketability and incrementality.
    • Cultivate a cohesive and aligned strategy across the diverse areas of Performance Marketing - from Media buying to Creative - to drive the most efficient and impactful user journeys.
    • Be the go-to authority on the latest technology and trends in mobile, and ensure we are launching first to market strategies.
    • Provide clear and accurate support and expertise across all areas of Performance Marketing including UA, Re-Engagement, Creative Production and Marketability Testing
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • High level experience working at a mobile gaming or mobile advertising company.
  • Experience working across games that are actively running user acquisition and growth efforts.
  • Outstanding presentation skills, keeping clear concise narratives & biulding impactful slides.
  • Experience working directly and handling collaborators within Game Studios and other teams.
  • Spearheading a team of great marketers in an open and humble yet impactful way.
  • Ability to drive product development with partners to deliver against campaign objectives.
  • Experience demonstrating different mobile user acquisition channels to drive profitable scale.
  • Strong analytical skills - analysing data, deriving insights and making recommendations.
  • Formidable skills in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, data visualisation tools (eg. Looker).
