THE GIG

Working within the Group and EMEA Legal team, the Commercial Paralegal will support the Group and EMEA Legal team which comprises 3 lawyers. This role will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business, providing high quality legal advice on commercial issues and projects at all stages, managing the balance between legal risk and commercial reward.

As our Commercial Paralegal you will be accountable for:

Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial legal documents and contracts to support various business activities.Reviewing and advising on contractual provisions including termination provisions and preparing termination notices.Dealing with GDPR data deletion requests.Supporting the E-com and Marketing team across EMEA, including changes to website terms and conditions, sales promotions and competition terms and conditions.Supporting for the EMEA Wholesale team with contracts and EMEA Customer Services team on legal queries and customer complaints.Assist with implementing legislative changes in EMEA online and in-store.Develop processes, know-how, templates, and precedents for the Legal team.Stay updated on legal developments, attend, and provide training.Research and advise on legal topics, including sales promotions and legislative changes across EMEA.Manage and coordinate contract/document signatures via DocuSign; ensure correct filing and tracking.Manage Legal inboxes and assist with new supplier contracts.Organise meetings, including agendas, minutes, and actions.Support litigation matters in the UK and EMEA, including investigations and defence preparation. Put simply, for this role the key things we're looking for are:

Excellent academic background with a minimum of either a law degree, CILEX, NALP Paralegal practice award, certificate or diploma, postgraduate paralegal diploma, or equivalent legal training.Prior paralegal experience gained in a law firm or similar in-house role is preferential. LPC, GDL or SQE qualifications would be a bonus.Influential, helpful and a strong team player who can lead and collaborate across functions.Ability to communicate with impact; deliver messages clearly and succinctly; building strong relationships across the business.Strong sense of initiative and a flexible attitude with the ability to adapt according to business needs.Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills.Courageous, with a high attention to detail.Growth mindset, willingness to receive and accept feedback and improve.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
