How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Our Apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity for both face-to-face and virtual training to learn the skills and knowledge required for the role. You'll pick up the ropes from a role model who you will shadow and work with for the duration of your apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice with us you'll be fully supported to achieve a nationally recognised qualification by the end of apprenticeship with Air Liquide. You will attend college which is funded by the business and the remainder of the time you will be fully supported by an experienced member of the team, learning all about how we deliver outstanding service, making you an expert in your field. We'll also assign you a buddy and assessor to guide you through your day-to-day tasks.

You'll be part of a growing service engineering team who work to support our customers across the UK.

  • Keeping the customer at the heart of everything that you do
  • Service and problem solve our equipment
  • Ensuring that health and Safety Standards are upheld, including the wearing of PPE, hazards are identified and minimised. Accident and near miss reporting processes are followed.
  • Complete the required academic and practical training requirements of the apprenticeship
  • Gain knowledge and understanding of other aspects of the Company's operations by participating in assigned training / projects as and when required
  • Gain hands on operational experience by assisting the site engineers
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and routine scheduling servicing in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations
  • Deal with machine breakdowns and effect repairs to ensure minimum down time.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate information on the company IT maintenance systems.
  • Management of maintenance & repair sub contractors (as and when required)
  • General labouring and housekeeping duties
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interest of the company.
  • Carry out other reasonable requests made by the line manager to support departmental or company objectives.
  • Observe and comply with all good working practices

  • You'll need a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grades 9-4
  • Great at building and maintaining relationships
  • Passionate about Air Liquide and hungry to learn
  • Collaborative and great with people
  • An interest in understanding how machines work
  • Approachable and adaptable
  • Attention focussed and thorough
  • A full UK manual driving licence
  • Flexible worker. You'll have a set shift pattern, but it may include some bank holidays, evenings and weekends.
