Anderson Moores (AMVS) is a truly multidisciplinary hospital providing specialist-led referral services across the South of England. Our services include Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Neurology, Physiotherapy and Diagnostic Imaging, and Oncology. AMVS is located in the beautiful location of Winchester in Hampshire with close proximity to the sea side city of Southampton. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and passionate Patient Care Assistant to join our twilight team here at Anderson Moores
As a PCA you will play an instrumental role in the smooth running and cleanliness of the hospital whilst providing a first -class patient and customer care service. Reporting to the OOH Lead PCA and working alongside our experienced team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN's) your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining high levels of cleanliness throughout the wards and other hospital areas
- Providing high quality in-patient care - feeding, walking and littering
- Support to the OOH RVN team as required
To be considered for this role candidates ideally have:
- Experience working with animals within a professional or personal capacity
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to deal with client information in a confidential manner
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a busy team and can work on own initiative
- Methodical approach to working
- Passion for the welfare of animals
- Willingness to be part of and support the wider team
- Great satisfaction in achieving high standards

We accept referrals for Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy as well as Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and a Pain Clinic.
We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training, development and CPD.
You can find us in Hampshire, just south of Winchester, close to the M3 and national and international transport links. We are in a serene countryside setting with state-of-the-art facilities and are available to look after pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
