What is the opportunity?

The Business Deposits NI Manager will have a highly proactive and partnership approach with both internal colleagues, external businesses and intermediaries in order toidentify and acquirenew to Bank of Ireland deposit opportunities, both self-generated and as a product specialist to maximise BBNI leads. The role will be hybrid, based primarily in 1 Donegall Square South in Belfast and include travelling across NI to customers and other Branch/Business teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear focus on deposit gathering opportunities for new and existing customers and delivering sustainable revenues.

In this role you will:
  • Develop positive external business and intermediary relationships with the aim of marketplace profile, increased enquiries, sustainable income growth and new customer targeting and development.
  • Act in accordance with all internal and external conduct, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain regular contact with key customers and intermediaries and represent the Bank at external events
  • Deliver new deposit targets by working independently & collaboratively with BBNI colleagues and key stakeholders in developing new business.
  • Ensure deposit proposals are effectively structured, priced and proactively managed.
  • Support business growth and change by proactively identifying changes in the industry, our competitors and our own business
  • Ensure adherence to agreed Group standards and internal and external (including BOE and CBI) regulatory requirements
  • Maintain MI and monitoring tools to assist in the ongoing management of portfolios and ensure this is accurate / kept updated at all times
  • Manage and maintain the strategy development and execution within acceptable compliance standards.
  • Establish strong working relationships with all key internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery with all frontline teams, maximising local market opportunities and be seen to operate as a combined team.
What will make you stand out?
  • Strong understanding of the principles of banking, deposits and funding.
  • Experience of dealing with customers including high value connections.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and engage with customers, building mutually beneficial relationships, identifying short and long term business opportunities, with proven success in developing increased market share.
  • Evidence of a collaborative approach in working with other teams and key stakeholders in the achievement of business strategic objectives.
  • Experience in effective risk management including regulatory and operational risk and proven track record in maintaining high standards.
  • Strong business acumen, achieving results and growing the Bank's markets share and profile in a positive manner and demonstrating broad commercial knowledge.
  • Full clean driving licence.
