We are working with a reputable Accounting firm based in Margate, Kent, who is looking to take on a new Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to take on additional support staff to help service their book of clients.

Job

Responsibilities:
\r
\r

\r
\tMaintain and update the status of accounts receivables and payables. \r
\tReconcile all bank accounts and resolve all issues in processing the financial statements. \r
\tDirect marketers, clients and third-party vendors about their responsibilities. \r
\tMaintain efficient client services and provide support to senior staff. \r
\tResponsible for receiving and verifying bills and requisitions for goods and services. \r
\tAssist audit activities. \r
\tPrepare, send and store the record of invoices on time. \r
\tContact clients to update them about balance payments. \r
\tPrepare and submit tax forms and their filings. \r
\tUpdate internal accounting databases and spreadsheets. \r
\tProcess general administration functions. \r
\tEvaluate all agreements and invoices and organise customer contracts. \r
\tAnalyse the transactions with financial policies and procedures. \r
\tOffer support to the finance team as needed. \r
\tCreate and manage daily paperwork for mailing as well as invoicing. \r
\tAssist all accountants and prepare all cash flow reports and data. \r
\tPrepare records of minutes of meetings. \r
\tMaintain and manage monthly journals, update entries, and maintain sub-ledger. \r

Requirements \r
\r

\r
\tPrevious work experience as an Accounts Administrator, Accounting or similar role. \r
\tWorking knowledge of tax procedures and filing. \r
\tAdvanced knowledge of MS Office and accounting software programs. \r
\tGood knowledge of bookkeeping procedures. \r
\tSolid data entry skills. \r
\tStrong analytical abilities. \r
\tAbility to work in a team as well as individually. \r
\tA keen eye for detail. \r
\tStrong verbal and written communication skills. \r
\tGood organisational and time management abilities. \r
\tStrong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills. \r
\tAbility to handle confidential information. \r
\tTrustworthy, respectful, honest and flexible. \r
\r
\r

This position will be primarily office-based, but hybrid work will be considered for the right candidate. Our client may also consider part-time work. \r
