The Opportunity:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational, risk, and administrative management of a new NIHR Global Health Research Group 'Addressing the Commercial Determinants of Health in Sub-Saharan Africa' (ACORDS), working closely with the Project Lead, co-investigators and partner organisations in Ghana, Kenya and South Africa.
This post is fixed term for 48 months, available from 1 July 2024
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Degree in a relevant subject, plus hands-on experience in a similar or related role, or vocational experience, demonstrating development through involvement in progressively more demanding relevant roles
- Proven project management experience including budgeting and financial planning
- Ability to plan and organise own work and provide leadership within the consortium team.
- Ability to work on own initiative and meet completing deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
