Salary: Up to £50,500 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

Contributing to the period end, forecasting and IBP processes, ensuring all deliverables to Line of Business / Sector / Group are made in line with expected timescaleWorking with the functional budget holders to challenge and influence thinking to manage and control headcount and spend to agreed targetsTaking responsibility for key areas of FP&A processes, ensuring compliance to the Finance Policies ManualSupporting continual improvement and standardisation of procedures and working practices by producing, promoting, and monitoring supporting process instructionsProviding support to Cost Performance improvement and transformation initiatives initiated through the FP&A capability centreGenerating new ideas for evolving delivery of Cost Performance information into the business, embracing modern working practices, systems, tools, and techniquesCoaching and developing others within the Cost Performance team along with supporting the Finance ManagerMaintaining a key focus on analysis and providing financial insights to enable and enhance business decision makingYour skills and experiences:

Essential:

Fully qualified accountant; ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAEW or ICASStrong MS office skills - excelAbility to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levelsBudget managementDesirable:Use of SAP or Planning AnalyticsExperience of dashboard reporting tools - i.e. Power BI or TableauPrior experience working for a large organisationBenefits:

The Cost Performance team:

As a Senior Management Accountant, you'll be working alongside a small dynamic team reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you'll dive into stimulating discussions surrounding costs, budgets, forecasts, and overheads. With a focus on internal stakeholders including the Financial Planning & Analysis leadership team, internal finance, and the Naval Ships function, your impact will be felt across the organisation. Attending review meetings with budget holders and senior leadership, shaping strategic decisions that drive the business forward. And as we propel into the future, you'll be part of a modernisation journey harnessing data analytics to enhance efficiency and empower smarter decisions.
