We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic graduate with a 2:2 or above degree in an English related subject to work at a fantastic secondary school in Birmingham.

This is an ideal for a graduate who is looking to gain classroom experience in an English department, prior to starting a teacher training programme in the near future.

As an English Academic Coach, you will be responsible for raising attainment levels within English and supporting under-achieving students through the English curriculum at KS3 & KS4.

You will be taking the students out of the classroom and working on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing interventions sessions to really give the students the support they need.


The school is based in South Birmingham, boarding on to Sandwell and is easily accessible via public transport.

The Head of English has been with the school for 8 years and has a proven track record of providing support to graduates who are considering a career in education.
