Senior Clinical Fellow in Medicine

This position will be based in the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit at the Princess Royal Hospital on a full time bases. Previous applicants need not apply.
The post-holder will be expected to attend morning board rounds, ward rounds and multidisciplinarymeetings run from their base ward. You will be expected to help organise and support the junior staff in the day-to-day running of the ward, ensure discharge summaries are appropriately completedby junior staff, and help coordinate discharge planning.
Main duties of the job
There are occasionally medical outliers on other wards that will need to be managed by the ward teams and shared care of patients on criticalcare. When present on the ward the post holder will provide support to the whole ward as required for seriously ill patients and emergencies. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in ED

Job responsibilities
The Princess Royal University Hospital is close to Bromley and Orpington town centres which have fast rail links to central London (18 minute journey) in addition to being only 20 minutes drive from the M25.
There will be many opportunities to help develop clinical pathways within acute care as well as in the community including GP liaison systems and multidisciplinary team working to provide excellent patient-centred care. Applications for job sharing are welcome. We welcome informal visits.
