Reports to: Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager


Our Sustainability teams play a crucial role in our organization. Surrounded by industry experts, you'll contribute your own ideas to shape our customer experience as part of an innovative team.

We, as a global retailer using various raw materials, acknowledge the significance of biodiversity and nature in supporting the ecosystem services critical to our business. To lead our biodiversity program at Primark and drive strategic development and implementation, we are looking to fill a key role. This position will involve engaging with our enterprise, supply chain, and external stakeholders to initiate positive changes.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you will collaborate with diverse individuals possessing different skillsets. Here's an overview of your daily responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the biodiversity strategy across the Primark enterprise, including setting clear targets and metrics
  • Revise the biodiversity strategy as necessary
  • Develop and implement the Biodiversity Management Programme in Primark's operations and supply chain
  • Establish a robust biodiversity monitoring program based on industry data and best practices
  • Stay updated on biodiversity-focused innovations to enhance monitoring efforts
  • Track and report program performance against set objectives and relevant reporting frameworks
  • Evaluate supplier and facility performance related to biodiversity KPIs and proxy metrics

What You'll Bring

At Primark, we value authenticity, along with the following qualifications and experiences for this role:

  • Relevant professional certification preferred (CEnv, CIEEM, or CEcol)
  • Expertise in Biodiversity, Land Use, and Ecology
  • Experience in assessing corporate impacts on nature and sustainability commitments
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and tools like SBTN, TNFD, GRI, IBAT/STAR
  • Understanding of regenerative agricultural practices
  • Proven track record of establishing sustainability programs in global businesses, with supply chain experience preferred
  • Ability to drive change in large organizations and collaborate across departments
  • Comfortable traveling to key sourcing regions when required
