Our client based in Farnborough is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive company in a full time and varied role.
This position would suit someone who has previous experience in an accounts position with working knowledge of both accounts payable and accounts receivable and a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Finance Assistant - About The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance duties as well as supporting with month end reporting.
Main duties will include:
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Assisting with month end reporting
- Processing employee expenses
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Handle customer queries and investigate discrepancies
- Complete payment runs
The successful Finance Assistant will have:
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures
- Accurate data entry skills
- Excellent Excel skills and experience operating accounting software
- Time management skills and proven ability to multi-task and prioritise work
