Job description

KS2 Primary Teaching Assistants needed in Cambridge

TimePlan Education work with a variety of fantastic primary schools within Cambridge and the surrounding areas and are looking to recruit experienced Teaching Assistant's to join our team of support staff.

The role of a Teaching Assistant is a varied one and is a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking to start their path into an Education Career

With full and part time positions available we are looking for educators from a range of backgrounds. Experience working within a school setting in a similar role would be ideal but other experience working with young people such as as a Sports Coach, Youth Leader, Drama Groups or anything similar could also be suitable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
  • Observe students' behavior and develop classroom discipline
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Assess students' skills and progress and submit reports to parents
  • Collaborate with other teachers to help improve children's learning experience
  • Track student progress and submit reports to parents
  • Follow all safety and health codes and requirements of the school district
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the school district

Experience

  • Previous experience working with Primary aged children
  • Experience working with SEND pupils would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of the Primary Curriculum preferred (or willing to learn)
  • Basic math skills preferred
  • Ability to work well with others
