We are looking for a Programme Tutor for Skills and Employability Foundation Learning and SEND


The Role:

The Faculty of Skills and Employability are looking for a passionate individual with experience of working with challenging young people or learners who have learning difficulties. Working alongside the Programme Leader, you will be teaching the highest quality standards of foundation learning and SEND curriculum and supporting learners to maximise potential for their success and progression. This is an incredible opportunity to join Oldham College, a Centre of National Excellence for SEND, delivering a real impact to students and the wider community, through teaching in our Skills and Employability department.

Key responsibilities for our Programme Tutor in Skills and Employability:

  • To contribute to the promotion of excellence in teaching/support, learning and assessment, working as part of a team in the Faculty.
  • To be responsible for the organisation of teaching/support and learning for a specific assignment of learners.
  • To promote and provide excellent customer service internally and externally in all areas of the role.

To be successful as a Programme Tutor in Skills and Employability you will need:

  • Experience of working with challenging young people who either lack motivation, self-esteem or who have learning difficulties.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
