Salary:
From £56,000 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:
  • This role provides you with the exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of estimators to deliver the Cost Estimating activities supporting the future Capacity and Capability of the UK Submarine Enterprise
  • This will see you responsible for development, documentation and maintenance of total programme costings including pricing information and basis of estimates
  • You will be supporting Business Case assessments of future investments, including major infrastructure both within BAE Systems and the Supply Chain
  • You will have the exposure of engaging with stakeholders including senior leadership and customer communities
  • The opportunity to exploit new technology to develop the estimating role and capabilities
  • Providing support to functional estimating activities
    Your skills and experiences:
    • Estimating experience in a leadership role
    • Previous experience in leading a team through complex projects
    • Exposure in managing multiple customers
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills
    • Dealing with Complex Estimates across different work streams
    • Ability to identify areas of improvements

      The Cost Estimating team:

      The Estimating department is growing in numbers and influence alongside the scope to generate and mature estimate there are a number of improvement projects requiring support which will gain experience and exposure to the wider business and corporation.

      You will have the opportunity to work with various and a diverse team from different backgrounds, on the biggest Government programme the UK has. You will have the exposure to the Senior Leadership Teams across the business along with the opportunity to work on long term projects.
