Salary: Up to £42,000 dependent on experience
What you'll be doing:
- Safely carry out routine work with limited supervision and have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environment
- Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders i.e. Engineering, Royal Navy, MoD and Build Operations to ensure all activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manor
- Instruct and mentor less experienced members of the team within you knowledge and competency
- Responsible for researching, authoring and reviewing of design and text documentation to the required standard
- Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure and regulation
- To represent the company on Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements (with scope for overseas travel)
- Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Knowledge of Mechanical System Operation, ideally hydraulic, pressurised aur and gas, domestic and chilled water and tank testing
- Experience with commissioning of complex systems and plants
- Knowledge of test equipment and activities required for specific tests
- Understanding the Mechanical Flushing and Pressure & Endurance Testing and setting to work of systems
Desirable:
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical STS Commissioning team:
As the Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a first in class Submarine with the Dreadnought project. We are currently undertaking one of the biggest and most complex engineering programmes nationally. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
