Do you have experience with working with young people? If so, we have a excellent opportunity for a youth engagement officer. Come and join our community partnerships team where you will be part of a small team engaging with young people through schools, voluntary organisations and other communities/groups supporting young people.
You will be the main point of contact for the development of a Youth Council who will work with the Council to bring forward issues faced by young people and enable young people to feed into council processes/strategies to influence and inform decisions that affect their lives or on which they have strong opinions. You will also take the lead on the delivery of the outcomes from Council's Young Persons Opportunities Plan.
You will need to have experience working in a professional capacity with young people. Have experience of successfully delivering projects and initiatives and preparing and delivering action plans. You will need excellent communication skills when working with wide variety of relevant organisations e.g. schools, voluntary organisations etc. From time to time, you may be required to attend evening meetings, where time off in leu will be given.
