The Role
Make It York is seeking to recruit a new Chair who has a strategic mindset and can provide a strong, supportive leadership to our highly effective, collaborative, and committed Board and Executive Team and to lead the organisation into its next phase of development.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about York and North Yorkshire, its residents, businesses and visitors, to build on the success of previous Chairs, including Greg Dyke, and who has the ability to drive continued growth and create new strategic partnerships and opportunities to expand the city's and region's prominence as an amazing place to visit, live, study and work.
As our new Chair, you will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability, enabling us to deliver our core values and identify new opportunities to deliver our ambitious plans for future growth.

Make It York is a successful, dynamic destination management organisation (the only private DMO's in England) responsible for delivering a strategic portfolio of activities to shape and enhance the city's vibrant visitor economy working closely with a range of cultural, education, business, and resident stakeholders.
