The role

What will you be doing?

Finance Development Programme Trainee

Location: We operate a hybrid working policy, we'd like you to be working from our Dorking office 2 days week
Programme Duration: 3-4 years, including 2-3 rotations through our Finance Teams

As a participant in our Finance Development Programme, you will assist with and perform a variety of financial tasks, gaining hands-on experience within our Financial Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis departments. You will also be supported to study towards a relevant financial accreditation (ACCA or CIMA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering outstanding work performance in assigned roles, collaborating effectively with team members and the wider business, and completing high-quality work within established timelines.

• Demonstrating a commitment to career development by progressing through a relevant Finance qualification (ACCA or CIMA).

• Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and planning deliverables.

• Preparing meaningful financial reports and analysis for designated areas.

• Applying knowledge and demonstrating ownership of assigned tasks or processes

• Continuously assessing and improving processes for effectiveness and efficiency.

What will you bring?

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum 2:2 in a finance/mathematics related degree
  • We will consider those with degrees in other subjects, if you have demonstrable work experience within a finance/accounting team
  • Intent to pursue and achieve a relevant Finance credential (ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly in Word and Excel, and a willingness to learn additional skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and managing competing demands.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and inquisitive.
