Telford and Wrekin have full time vacancies for an Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Occupational Therapy have a crucial role to prevent, delay or reduce the need for ongoing social care. Our team do this with therapeutic and technical interventions through the provision of equipment and adaptations.

In addition to this, some members of the team deliver single handed care and support for family carers.

The team is kind and supportive. We have hybrid working arrangements in place, as well as flexi working and there is the possibility of purchasing additional annual leave.

You will have the autonomy to plan your working day while balanced with weekly Peer Review with your colleagues.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to assess those with an illness or disability, to support them to live at home safely and as independently as possible, with a variety of therapeutic, equipment and adaptation solutions utilising the Disabled Facilities Grant.

There is an opportunity to work with a variety of complex health conditions including Stroke, Parkinson's, MND, amputations and Palliative cases as well as variety of adult ages. The role has opportunities to develop clinical reasoning skills and work with individuals through the whole OT process; getting the satisfaction of seeing the impact of your intervention.

Candidates must be a qualified Occupational Therapist and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Telford and Wrekin will offer reimbursement of HCPC professional fees.

We will consider newly qualified applicants for this role and are intending to develop a programme of support for such candidates, alongside training and development opportunities for all candidates.

You must be a qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC. However, we will consider newly qualified subject to HCPC registration. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclose and Barring Service (DBS) check.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, can work autonomously as well as someone who can be an active member in the team.
