They are committed to reducing its environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout its operations.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Project Manager to join their team to drive our ESG initiatives forward.
Job Summary:
As a Sustainability Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating sustainability projects across various aspects of operations, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, waste reduction, and community engagement.
Your expertise in the construction or utilities industry will enable you to develop and implement effective sustainability strategies that align with our company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainability projects: Identify and prioritize sustainability projects that align with company goals and objectives. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct environmental and social impact assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of potential environmental and social impacts of projects to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, procurement, and community engagement teams to ensure effective project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor and report on sustainability performance: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, waste reduction, and community engagement metrics.
- Develop and implement ESG policies and procedures: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement policies and procedures that support our ESG goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sustainability in the construction or utilities sector.
- Manage budget and resources: Manage project budgets, resources, and vendors to ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Communicate sustainability initiatives: Communicate sustainability initiatives to internal stakeholders, including employees, customers, and investors
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in sustainability or ESG role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to sustainability.
- Excellent project management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in sustainability or ESG (e.g., LEED AP BD+C, CEM).
- Experience with data analysis and reporting using tools such as Carbon Footprint Analysis or Sustainability Metrics & Reporting platforms.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as ISO Environmental Management System) or GRI (Global Reporting Initiative).
- Experience working with external stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, or community groups.
