Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm. 8am to 3.30pm on a Friday.

The Edith Stein Academy Trust is looking for a Senior IT Technician to join their dedicated IT Support team at Oaklands Catholic School and Sixth Form College in Waterlooville.

About The Role:

Join a team supporting nearly 2,000 users and 1,200 devices across schools in Waterlooville and Portsmouth. Responsibilities include supporting various Windows devices, network infrastructure, printers, and classroom equipment within a Windows LAN and Office 365 environment. Additionally, responsibilities cover supporting CCTV cameras, the school's phone system, and the school hall's sound and lighting equipment. The role involves assisting with school events and developing new skills.

Deliver high-quality IT Services to the school community, supporting events and providing occasional support outside regular hours.

  • IT Support - Support Senior Leaders, Teachers, Administrative Staff, and Students, resolving incidents, answering questions, and undertaking change requests efficiently. Maintain equipment inventory and audio/visual equipment. Work on various tasks in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Project Support Management - Work on projects ranging from installing new hardware/software to network maintenance and ensuring a secure browsing environment.

About You:

We are seeking a hard-working team player with excellent communication skills and a professional attitude. Requirements include a Level 3 Apprenticeship or Microsoft certification(s), preferably with support environment experience.

Essential:

  • 5 GCSEs grade 5 to 9 including English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting Windows 10, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ideally, completed (or close to finishing) a Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Support or obtained Microsoft certification(s).
