About Us:
Haven is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team.

This pivotal role supports the Finance Manager - Accounting in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and providing insightful analysis of the company's financial performance.

Your Opportunity:
Support the Finance Manager in managing the weekly, month-end, and year-end financial close processes.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
Collaborate with General Managers and Finance Business Partners to provide accurate information and reporting.
Contribute to the development of ERPX functionality to enhance finance operations.
Conduct variance analysis to detect discrepancies in financial results, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
Work on ad-hoc projects as required by the Finance Manager.

What We'd Like You to Bring:
A degree in finance, accounting, or business, or working towards one.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Proven experience in reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team and with other departments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent Excel skills for data analysis, modelling, and reporting.
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Initiative and integrity in all financial dealings.
High level of engagement and the ability to influence the financial culture within the team.
Willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
