Aqua-Tech Recruitment are currently working with one of our client's, a leading provider of construction and engineering services in the gas industry who have a requirement for a Site Manager to join them on a contract basis to oversee construction activities at Gas Above Ground Installations (AGI) sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that civil works are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise civil construction activities at Gas AGI sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, including ensuring all workers hold valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) cards.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) requirements and First Aid protocols.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to site personnel, including conducting regular toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Civil Site Manager or similar role, preferably within the gas or construction industry.
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card holder.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes, including earthworks, concrete works, and site drainage.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team of workers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Advantageous to have some knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) works.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
