W Edinburgh is hiring a Night Server to join the Room Service team We invite you to play an integral part in bringing to life this unique brand in Edinburgh.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Room Service Manager, as Night Room Service Server you will play a key role in our guest's stay with us. By serving them food and drinks in the comfort of their own rooms, your mission is to make our guests feel like they are in a home away from home.

Room Service is a department that operates 24 hours a day. This position would cover the overnight period, starting late in the evening and finishing in the morning. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, a people-person and work well under pressure

As Night Room Service Server, key aspects of your role will include:

  • Ensuring food and drinks are perfectly presented before serving to guests
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in their rooms
  • Answer any questions on the menu selection, including how food has been prepared, any modifications that can be made, and what allergens are present
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions, length of wait, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and silverware before serving it to guests
  • Restock items
  • Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments on service
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and policies to report accidents and injuries
